Basically, everyone at least once asked a question. What to do after reaching max level, what are long term goals in this game. In this mini-series, I wanna show you stuff what you can slowly work on.
Besides obvious stuff like legendaries, we have a so-called quality of life items and upgrades. Simply stuff what isn't mandatory by any means but it makes your gaming much more convenient if you have them.
First thing what you should focus on is expanding you bank.
No matter how much space you have it's never enough.
is also a good choice especially if you use only one character. More space means less frequent salvaging and selling junk.
greatly increase your deposit capacity. It may look like not much more space, but trust me, you will have to manage your full storage not so often.
Shared inventory slots
are also great endgame addition and its actually perfect place for a majority of items mentioned here. Not only it's shared between your characters. Slots are also excluded from sorting and content can't be deleted with your character.
allows you to have active more than 2 default crafting disciplines at the same time. At this moment you can upgrade up to 4 disciplines. Its just enough to satisfy your everyday needs.
Permanent salvage tools
feel almost like blessing once you have them, especially copper one. Just two clicks and you can salvage whole inventory. If you exclude buying price salvage with both is slightly cheaper than with non-permanent equivalents. Exception is ofc Mystic Salvage kit but since you don't have an unlimited free supply of mystic forge stones you can't count it as an option.
Permanent Bank access
is these days more expensive than a legendary weapon but that advantage of having access to a bank from anywhere is so huge step up in quality of life. You can store there stuff like potions or food and just quickly pick and use them when needed. It will suddenly free so much inventory space. Its also huge help if you use multiple builds with different gear sets and have to change it every few hours. Just open bank and swap gear directly from a bank by right click. You can also manage your storage and preview all items from a wardrobe.
is another useful one. It summons basic vendor where you can quickly sell junk and continue with farming. Sadly it's only personal so others can't use it.
Permanent Trading Post
isn't that useful it just allows you pick up your money and items anywhere from the trading post. Since both Merchant and Trading post summons NPC, you can't use them together on one map. You have to wait till it despawns, relog or change map.
There is another Permanent Merchant item called Tarrktun Personal Delivery Portal.
You can get it thru quite expensive ectoplasm gamble. The merchant doesn't sell basic items but you can sell there and it don't summon NPC so its usable together with a Permanent Trading post.
Permanent Mystic Forge
allows you open Mystic Forge anywhere and it isn't that expensive. Its great way to get rid of rare runes and sigils while farming. Also if you converting karma to gold it becomes very handy.
Access to one of luxury areas
will also make your life so much easier. There is everything in a small area - vendors, bank, trading post, crafting stations and more. You can choose one by your personal taste. I can personally recommend Airship for its very minimalistic design. Or Ember Bay one because it's so relaxing place with music and nice view.
Home Portal Stone
will port you to your home instance from anywhere. Its not that useful if you don't have any nodes there tho.
Executioner Axe Toy
is only obtainable during Halloween if you buy Executioner outfit. Skill 2 with its 3-second cooldown is probably the best mobility skill in the game. Its super handy if you have to overcome long distances or keep up with fast zerg like in Silverwastes chest farm. Unlike other mobility skills, this one is still affected by speed bonuses like swiftness or super speed.
The only downside is that you can't use it in combat and on end of the charge you will stop and do this annoying swing what decrease your overall mobility. With a little practice, you can use skill 6 just before that final swing. It will interrupt charge without stopping your movement.
Bloody Prince's Staff Toy
same as Executioner Axe is also obtainable only during Halloween after you buy Bloody Prince's Outfit. Useful skill of this one is 5-second stealth with 8-second cooldown. Its not as widely useful as Axe but classes without access to stealth can found it quite useful.
Endless Repair Kit
is least useful one but there are situations where it can be handy. For example raid training where running thru portals for repair gets annoying very quickly.
Permanent Hair Stylist
is another super expensive one but sadly it's not equivalent of total makeover kit it just allows you to change haircut.
Permanent Gathering tools
have these days all shapes and forms. Except Watchwork Mining Pick what have can mine some extra sprockets are all equal so just pick those what will suit your theme.
White Mantle Portal Device
is a permanent gizmo what works basically same as Mesmer portal. To obtain it you had to either drop it or buy it for 1000 Magnetite Shards in raid vendor.
The only downside is 30 minutes cooldown on use. But you can put it to shared inventory slot and have some alt parked at adrenaline mushroom or next to Special Forces Training Area where you can reset cooldown.
That's all I had for today so if you enjoyed it don't forget subscribe or leave a comment and stay tuned for next time.
