A Deimos encounter is split into 3 phases. The Arena is a simple circle divided by 4 statues into imaginary quarters. There is also a bottom arena where players get ported from time to time. It looks very similar.
The First phase
or more like Pre-Phase remains till all 4 chains are destroyed and the prisoner is released.
Mechanic of a top arena in the pre-phase is simple. Ghosts will spawn at the edge and head to the middle where they explode and damage the prisoner. At least 1 player has to stay and slow down the big ghosts called Pride till others port back and help to kill them. Next Pride will spawn always 5s after the previous one dies. The small ghosts - Greeds can be ignored.
The Main Group has to stay in the Green circle and teleport to the bottom arena. A circle is always tied to a random player and moves with him. It happens 5s after the encounter begins and then always 5s after the players are ported back. This will repeat till the Pre-Phase is done. You have 5s to get into its range. The player with a circle should move close to the Pride so the rest can help with killing until a last moment.
In the bottom arena
you have to destroy 4 statues on the edges holding chains.
Every time a statue is destroyed players gets teleported back to the top arena. You can save some time by nearly killing all 4 statues and apply conditions on them before teleport. If you are lucky all 4 can die in one cycle.
While killing statues the boss will try to kick you off the platform which instantly kills you.
After are all chains destroyed the boss will port from bottom to top arena and main fight will begin.
spawns in the top arena as a friendly NPC together with the Boss. Roughly every 27s he drops healing banner on the person with the lowest HP. It stays up 20s and heals everyone in range for 5% HP per second. Every 60s he also casts Unnatural Signet on the Boss. It's a 10s long debuff that doubles incoming damage. Later in the fight he will need occasional healing when gets hit by Prides and Greeds. If he dies the encounter will fail.
is always the player with the highest toughness. Before reaching 60%, the boss should stay close to the center facing edge of the arena so rest can damage him on melee range even during Mind Crush. Under 60% the tank moves the boss to the edge and kites him in the area roughly between 2 statues.
The Soul Feast
targets the furthest player - Kiter and gives him a 5s debuff every 10s. During debuff, a player drops every second small purple AoE filled with hands. It deals some damage but most importantly if boss steps inside he get buff what increase his damage by 2% per stack. Therefore it's important to drop those hands on the opposite side of the arena where tank never moves. Around 75, 50 and 25% when players with Saul D'Alessio are ported back all hands start quickly moving towards the boss and disappear after 5 seconds.
is boss'es AoE attack what knocks players back even out of platform if not careful. It mostly occurs every 20s but timing is sometimes slightly altered if it should happen at the same time as Mind Crush.
The Attack have a very distinct telegraph - a huge segmented circle and boss slam the ground with both hands. Knockback won't happens at once. Starts in a segment in front of the boss and ends behind his back about second later.
is an arena-wide AoE with 5s charging telegraph where the boss is swirling with both hands in the air. It happen every 40s. It downs everyone who doesn't stand in a small bubble in the middle. Evade and Invulnerability won't work but it can be blocked if needed. Always stand as close to the edge of the bubble as possible in case of teleport field appear at the same time.
works the same way like in Pre-Phase. Tied to a random person and occurs at 75, 50 and 25% of boss health. Players have 5s to get in its range and port to the Bottom Arena. If port happens at the same time as Mind Crush, tied person have to stay close to an edge of a bubble so Tank and Kiter don't get ported.
At 75% you have to simply damage black Saul D'Alessio. He will periodically cast a spell what steal everyone's boons if his break bar isn't broken fast enough.
At 50% 10s after port Saul disappear and spawn 4 illusions. You have to kill the correct one to get him back and continue damaging. It can be easily spotted thx to different staff in Its hands. If you don't kill Saul fast enough he will spawn other illusions 20s after you killed previous ones.
At 25% his spell will randomly port players around the arena if the break bar isn't broken. This time it has to be done much faster than before.
In all 3 phases once Saul is down to 50% HP he will port with you back to the Top Arena where you have to continue fighting him.
start spawning at 75%, one every 15s and will shoot projectiles at nearby players. They can be cleared just by running over. Once you do it you will receive 1m debuff and big skull over your head that prevents from cleaning another one. The closest player without debuff except Tank and Kiter should always run and clean it as fast as possible.
starts spawning under 60% of health every 15s at a 2nd closest person to the Boss. It begins as an orange circle that everyone needs to leave in next 5s before it becomes black for next 30s. If anyone enters it will quickly spread, cover a majority of the arena and quickly kill everyone in it.
Pride and Greed
start to spawn under 40%. The mechanic is same as in Pre-Phase. Ignore small ghosts and kill Prides. Since next Pride will spawn 10s after previous died, permanent immobilize instead of killing is also an option.
all players will be ported to Bottom Arena and boss become static on the edge. Mechanics remains technically the same. Kiter still has to take care of Soul Feast, Rapid Decay will still spawn on a 2nd closest person and Demonic Tears will still appear as well.
Other previous mechanics will stop.
Only new ones are different knockback attacks just this time without ground telegraph so you have watch boss'es hands. It's always one attack with right, one with left and then both hands with slightly larger radius.
So quick recap.
In Pre-Phase watch out Prides and kill chains in Bottom Arena. Boss with friendly Saul comes after. Tank stays at mid till 60% then move to the edge. Kiter keep Soul Feast far from boss. Annihilate every 20s, Mind Crush every 40s. Demonic Tears starts at 75%. At 75, 50 and 25% port underground where you damage black Saul. At 60% Rapid Decay spawns under 2nd closes player every 15s. At 40% Prides and Greeds starts comming damage Saul. Final Phase at 10%, all are ported to the Bottom Arena. Remain only Soul Feast, Decay, Tears and newly knockbacks.
